I’ll be honest this time – my expectations were deceived. After watching PVs I thought this anime would become an instant hit, but the first episode is ‘good’ and ‘decent’ at best. It could have been better.
I was going to praise Tatakau Shisho like crazy, but now it’s obviously not happening. It’s not an epic fail, though. From what I’ve read on MAL forum, most people feel the same ^_^ It definitely has potential, but probably the visualization is wrong. I mostly like the art, but some scenes were strange. I was like ‘Huh?’ when I saw some of the chara designs, but it’s a matter of habit. You know, it tends to happen, when you don’t like the designs at first, but slowly get accustomed to whatever is shown.
It’s kind of stupid to judge a 26-episode anime by the 1st one. I expect the story will develop slowly. But it itself is interesting, because it has what we call ‘originality’, so be ready to see things you’ve never seen, or at least things you don’t see very often.
Action scene was brilliant. I really enjoyed it. The rest is weird, including the characters. But I guess their behaviour will be explained later. Btw, Volken is emo xD Hamutz is a bit scary, but I like her breasts xD Colio is cute. And the relationship between the personages seem quite complicated. Oh well, we’ll see how it goes on. (Btw, there are many variants of the names’ spelling, don’t be confused.)
All in all, I’m not sure about this anime. Ask me when I finish watching it (in fact, you don’t need to ask, I’ll blog about it). Not that it’s annoying or something, but it’s lifeless.
OP is a typical ALI PROJECT song, far from their best songs. ED is alright, but I wanted smth more like ‘My Heaven’.
With all that being said, I’ll continue watching, because the storyline makes me crave for the next episode.
Note: this anime is licensed by Crunchy.
