Ahh, finally Fairy Tail started. I won’t dwell on the plot, it follows the manga so far.
Yep, the art style differs from that of the manga. I think, they did it deliberately, so that you f*cking shut up and stop comparing it to One Piece. Well, the mangas do look similar, but for such poor creatures as me it’s impossible to start watching/reading One Piece now, so I don’t know, which one is better.
Still, I do know that I looooove Fairy Tail manga. I remember finishing like 140 chapters in one week. If I’m not mistaken, the latest chapter is #154, so I expect the anime to run for at least 3 years. Dunno ’bout fillers, but oh well.
I’m quite pleasantly surprised with the voice actors chosen, though from the main cast only Lucy, Natsu and Happy were introduced. Yes, I thought Happy’s voice would be different. But by the end of the ep I started liking his voice as well. Can’t wait to hear other characters ^_^
It’s mostly comedy in the first chapters, and drama later. So when this later arrives, I think the anime will become just as popular as other neverending ongoing series. You know how it happens – people call it pure shit and complain about fillers, but still watch.
