Нет, не так. Гениальный сериал, поевший мозг многим тысячам ни в чём не повинных людей, которые думали, что смотрят очередную комедию.
Нет, снова не правильно. НЁХ, гипножаба, которая не отпустит, стоит только подсесть один раз.
Вот это верно. И если вам показалось, что Гинтама не отличается от всех этих ваших сёненов, то вы ошибаетесь. Секрет невероятной популярности этого сериала прост – там есть всё, чего вы хотели и не хотели от аниме, и это не выглядит притянутым за уши.
Ну ладно. Я могу весь день расхваливать любимый сериал, но мы ведь не за этим здесь собрались, правда? Цель другая – выяснить, чем отличается сиквел от первого сериала.
1. Названием. На самом деле нет. Всем пофиг. Пусть формально сиквел называется Gintama’, всё равно эта старая добрая Гинтама. Посему первая серия гордо называется 202-й. Ну вы поняли.
2. Форматом изображения. Наконец-то в 16:9. Хотя, согласитесь, в 4:3 был какой-то особенный шарм.

В общем, ничем новая Гинтама, кроме формата, не отличается. Как будто и не было перерыва на целый год, чесслово. Можно ли смотреть сразу с 202-й серии? Я думаю, что да. По ходу въедете, что там к чему. Гинтама требует не столько знания самого сериала, сколько знания других аниме, манги, японских тв-шоу, японской же истории чтобы понимать, что пародируют. Хотя отправиться от смеха под стол можно и не понимая половины. Гинтама есть Гинтама.

No, that’s not it. A masterpiece, that ate brains of thousands of innocent viewers, naive enough to think that they were watching just another comedy.
No, that’s still not it. It’s one hell of a weird shit, a hypnotoad, you name it, which gets you totally addicted once you’re hooked.
Yeah, that’s right. If you think that Gintama is your typical shounen anime, you can’t be more wrong. The secret to its incredible popularity is simple – Gintama has everything you’ve ever or never wanted from an anime, and it looks perfectly natural.
Okay, enough already. I can spend the whole day praising my fave series, but that’s not the objective, amirite? Our aim is to find out how the sequel is different from the first series.
1. The title. Well, not at all. Nobody cares, really. Even though the official title is Gintama’, it’s still our good old Gintama. That’s why the 1st episode is episode #202. You got it, right?
2. The aspect ratio. Finally in 16:9. Well, 4:3 surely had some charm to it, too.

All in all, aside from the aspect ratio, the new Gintama does not differ from the old one, like, at all. As if there were no 1-year-long break, really. Is it okay to start watching from ep #202 without watching the first series? Yes, I suppose. You’ll get to know what’s going on while watching. Gintama doesn’t require knowing the internal history of the series, but the context – other anime, manga, Japanese TV-shows, history and the like, to understand the parody. But even understanding half of jokes is enough to send you rolling on the floor laughing. Gintama is Gintama, after all.
