Я всегда мечтала посмотреть хоть одно аниме о Гандамах онгоингом – не то что бы очень люблю меха, но тут, сами понимаете, столько пафоса и легендарности, что становится любопытно. Поэтому новость о том, что Sunrise снимают Gundam AGE меня очень обрадовала. Радовалась я ровно до того момента, пока не увидела персонажей. Честно говоря, не думала, что мне понравится первая серия. “Это же не Gundam AGE, это Gundam UNDERAGE!” – думала я. Согласитесь, детишками нас не впечатлить. Нам подавай бисёненов пояойнее и девочек с большими, кхм, глазами. И экшн, экшн покруче, чтоб мозг взрывало.
Ну так вот, не списывайте этот сериал со счетов только потому, что главный герой столь молод и неопытен. По крайней мере, боевой дух при нём. Кроме того, если вы, как и я, не поленились и прочитали расширенный синопсис (на ANN, например, был такой), то знаете, что рассчитанный на год сериал рассказывает аж о трёх поколениях семьи Асуно – т.е. мы увидим и сына, и внука главного героя. Лично я обожаю мыльные космические оперы, тем более, первая серия получилась вполне достойная. Очень интересно, что из этого всего получится.

I’d always dreamt about watching at least one Gundam anime ongoing – not that I’m especially fond of mecha, but, you know, the Gundam franchise has that fleur of epicness, so you can’t help but become curious. That’s why I was thrilled to hear that Sunrise was making Gundam AGE. Thrilled till the moment I saw the characters. Frankly speaking, I thought I wouldn’t make it through the first episode. I was like, “It’s not Gundam AGE, it’s more like Gundam UNDERAGE!” Well, who would be impressed by kids? We want hot bishounen and girls with big, err, eyes. And lots of cool mind-blowing action.
But you know what? Don’t shake off this anime into the depths of your ‘Will never watch’ list, just because the main character is so young and naive. At least, he has enough fighting spirit. Besides, if you, like me, took the trouble to read an extended synopsis (that was on ANN), you know that this new anime will run for a year and tell the story of the three generations of the Asuno family – i.e. we’ll see the main character’s son and grandson. I love soap space operas, besides the first episode is fairly good. I’m excited to see how the whole thing turns out.
