[Manga] Williams

This oneshot is one of my personal faves, and I believe it deserves more attention. So I’m going to write this post just for the sake of doing this manga justice.

Who doesn’t want to go on an adventure? Explore unknown lands? Find treasures? See things you’ve never seen before? Right, there isn’t a single person who’s alien to the thrilling spirit of adventure stories. Unfortunately, not many of us can abandon their daily routine for the sake of travelling, not to mention that in the 20th and 21st centuries the world became a really small place. Therefore we normally resort to fiction, be it books, movies or games. Or, anime and manga.
Unsurprisingly, the main character of this oneshot is a boy named William who loves a certain adventure novel and dreams about his own grand adventure. So, one day he decides to make his dream come true, because there is no time like now! But can he escape his daily duties of a young master from a rich family?
As I’ve said, regardless of the setting, all adventure stories share the same spirit. And this manga captures this spirit perfectly. I’d say, every page of it is saturated with adventurous recklessness and sincere spontaneity xD The story is funny, very heartwarming and has a really unexpected plot twist. No matter how old you may be, your inner child will be delighted. Recommended.
